Andreas Eule, CEO of Cordenka GmbH, Obernburg/Ger-many, is the new president of CIRFS, International Rayon and Synthetic Fibres Committee, Brussels/Belgium. He succeeds Thomas Fahnemann, the former Chairman of Lenzing AG, Lenzing/ Austria, who left the man-made fibers industry at the end of 2008. Anderas Eule is a chemical engineer and joined Akzo AG, Wuppertal/Germany, in 1988. In 1995 he took over the position as Head of the Textile Technical Institute and Quality Assurance Manager for the business unit textile fibers in Wuppertal. In 1997 he became the Purchasing Director of the business unit Enka viscose textile filament yarn in Wuppertal. After 2 years as Managing Director of Enkador, Quito/ Ecuador, an Acordis affiliated company, which manufactures polyamide and polyester textile yarns, Eule became Managing Director in 2001 and in 2003 CEO of Cordenka, a producer of industrial viscose yarns.
