The present work consists of development of chitosan coated and sodium alginate coated surgical cotton bandages and investigating their antimicrobial activity.rn1. The antimicrobial activity of chitosan coated and sodium alginate coated surgical cotton gauge fabric shows good results against Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria.rn2. The wetability of chitosan coated and sodium alginate coated surgical cotton gauge fabric shows good results.rnHence, these bandages are suitable for wound healing applications.
