Dr. Albert W. Piirzer, member of the corporate management and general partner of Freudenberg & Co. KG, Weinheim/Ger-many, celebrated his 60~(th) birthday on September 8. For the last 7 years,rnPurzer has been responsible for the area of nonwovens and household products at Freudenberg. He has also been responsible for chemical specialties for the last 2 years. After studying chemistry, he has been active in the chemical industry, most recently as the vice-chairman of Rutgers AG, Essen/Germany. At Freudenberg, he has been chiefly responsible for bringing forward the new microfiber technology Evolon, new filter systems, smart household products and environmentally friendly building products of Freudenberg Politex.
