摘要

In this article, novel semi-finished products and their production are described and the potential of the new techniques and technologies are demonstrated on the basis of different example structures. The descriptions are limited to the textile element of the process. Details of composite production and the mechanical properties that can be achieved will be the subject of future articles. Textile semi-finished products for the long fiber reinforcement of plastics are gaining in importance, particularly when the material costs and manual work involved in composite production are reduced and less cutting waste is produced. Reinforcement structures are required that are highly prefabricated and preformed as well as having functional integration. End-uses arise in vehicle construction, in the space and aerospace industries, in ship and boat building, as well as mechanical engineering and the machine-building industry.
