Capturing homeland security data and information over large geographical areas is both difficult and important. Do we rely on isolated data/information points distributed over large areas, or do we seek to harvest data/information over a defined area and hope for the best? Can we use existing geographic points as convenient places to locate data/information-gathering equipment? In this challenge, we'll explore the use of existing telephone and electric utility poles as hosts for the location of homeland security data/information-gathering equipment.
