The most valuable technology-based lessons are designed by teachers who find a creative way to introduce a topic using an interesting, exciting activity. Most activities can be adapted to other programs, schools, or populations. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to share their insights and experiences with others. The entire profession can benefit from the sharing of lesson plans and activities that address technological literacy standards. When developing an activity for sharing, be sure it is in a format that is easily adaptable for others. A standard lesson plan format is helpful when outlining content, objectives, instructor and student procedures, and assessment. The lesson plan should also address print and electronic media, laboratory resources, and related details. Examples of forms and handouts are beneficial.
