The Minnesota Technology Education Association has laid out a plan to deliver technological literacy to all Minnesota students, and although that plan is likely to evolve or change over time, it has provided a launching point for implementation. It is an ambitious plan that will outlast many of the current state technology education leaders. However, Minnesota adheres to ITEA's position that technology education needs to become the "new basic" for students―core curriculum that every future student will need in order to be adequately prepared for an increasingly technological world.
