摘要

The rapid growth of science and technology in Singapore has attracted an increasing number of scientific meetings, conventions and exhibitions. Riding on its high international standing in water technologies, the country hosted the inaugural Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) in June 2008. Led by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) and supported by the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau (SECB), a group of the Singapore Tourism Board, the event was the result of close collaboration between universities, government agencies and the private sector.
