At first glance, you might get confused with the PowerShot G9. It looks old, but has new innards. It's not for the newbie because it has too many settings and controls. It's smaller than the average prosumer camera but offers features similar to a DSLR. Once you find your way around the different settings and controls, you start gotting some neat results. Final results are akin to what you get from a good prosumer camera; excellent quality in adequate light, but excessively noisy pictures when you set the ISO to above 400.
