Q.Where do you see the Netbook competition going? AC: We see netbooks as a rising segment in 2009 that probably would gradually take share from mainstream and we expect the trend to be 3 times greater than 2008. More and more netbooks are coming bundled with 3G/3.5G/3.75G USB dongle or just with built-in module. This would make netbooks a necessity in the digital lifestyle since people can easily transfer all kinds of data anytime anywhere. Q.What are your views on the shift to 16:9 display ratio from 16:10? AC: The DVD is a classic example here, DVDs come in 16:9 ratio and when one plays it on a 16:10 ratio display two black bars become visible on top and bottom. Now a days when lot of middle class consumers buy computer for multiple purpose with multimedia being their top priority. Most of the videos available are in the 16:9 ratio itself, so see emergence and transformation from the old 16:10 resolution to 16:9. A very large segment of gamers also prefer to go for a 16:9 ratio monitor.
