With newer games, a GPU is an essential component. Dual GPUs sound interesting, and many expect expect double the performance, but is it actually so? To find out, we tested a few graphics cards in single as well as dual mode at 1920 × 1200 pixels on the same test bench.rn1 NVidia's Dual GPU setup is called as SLi, Whereas ATi's dual GPU setup is called Crossfire.rn2 Both GPUs should be of the same series, manufacturer and the same model number.rn3 To connect the two cards, you need to use a bridge. The bridge generally comes along with the graphics card and has to be placed on the first slot on both the cards.
