The iTech iAir 301 is the lowest priced one from the slew of recent bluetooth headset launches by iTech. It is quite small and comes with a detachable clip.rnIt weighs a mere 10 gms and your ear won't feel the weight even if you wear it for longer durations. Operation is quite simple as it only has two buttons on the panel. One is for call end/receive and the other controlsrnthe volume. It looks sleek and uncomplicated.rnHowever this is where the positive things about this device ends. The call manage button is right in the center of the panel which means it can bernpressed even if you are aligning the headset in the ear. The volume button works in a pretty weird way-since there is a single button and not a rocker as is usually the case with Bluetooth headsets, it cycles through volume levels. It first takes the volume to the maximum, mutes and then starts increasing the volume level. This can be quite disconcerting. The range is quite limited. Its fine if you hold thernphone in your hand, but if your phonernis in a pocket, crackling and dusturbance creeps into in the calls. With a clear line of sight, you can get a decent enough range of 6 to 8 metres but it's puzzling why it loses a signal with the phone in a pocket.
