They announce a sequel to a top notch title and the hype literally paves the way for them. That's what happened with the likes of Gears of War 2, Uncharted 2 and now we have the biggest of them all, Modern Warfare 2. Game makers really don't leave the consumers with any choice or option now, do they? In the absence of a singular beta or a demo, the fans of the franchise get all worked up by witnessing a couple of game play trailers. I don't really believe that's the ideal way to do it. The point I am trying to make is simple, why not release a demo first? I mean, you're charging way more than any other standard retail title and you still wish to dictate terms to the consumer.
