Developed by the JR Hokkaido Railway Company in Japan, this is an innovative dual mode vehicle; a sort of minibus that can run on train tracks or on the road. It can seat a maximum of 28 people and has two sets of wheels: 4 standard rubber tyres for road use and 4 steel wheels for the train tracks. While the front tyres get lifted off during train mode, the rear tyres stay planted as they are the driving wheels. The switch from road to track use is done in only 15 seconds.
