This is quite a debatable topic. While opinion is divided, if you ask me, I prefer gaming notebooks over desktops for vrarious reasons. But going by the current scenario, I don't think gaming notebooks will be able to replace those high-end gaming desktops. They might be able to grab more attention with snazzy looks and lights, but performance will always be a notch below desktops, some of them will get hot enough to fry your lap and your upgrade options will be limited. Once you get a laptop, you're stuck with it till you buy a new one.
