Conventional desktop PCs occupy a lot of space; either on top of a table or under it. But the dx2009 solves that problem by being really small (about the size of a couple of books) and light (about 2 kg, less than many laptops). With the optional HP QuickRelease, the dx2009 can be mounted behind a compatible LCD monitor, further reducing the desktop footprint. When mounted, it will be completely out of view. Then there's the green angle too. The dx2009 consumes a lot less power than a conventional desktop (only about 50 watts vs 200 for a regular desktop). Combine that saving across multiple units and the power savings are immense. It also generates less heat. Linux is pre-loaded, customized by HP and with productivity applications like Open Office. If you prefer, it is even compatible with Windows XP.
