These days more and more gaming laptops are making their way into the battlefield, and the latest to join the gaming laptop bandwagon is Intex. The Performer G17Y-F2210 is a pretty good effort too, if you go by the looks and its features. Essentially, manufactured by Clevo of Taiwan, it's also identical to a machine made by Connoiseur (Check page 37 of Living Digital, September 2008). It sports a completely black matte finish with vibrant orange colored border on the sides. Ergonomics are good; it has a strong and sturdy build and a well-spaced out keyboard. Specs include an Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, 2 GB DDR2 RAM (expandable to 4 GB), and NVIDIA GeForce Go 8700 graphics. Apart from the 250 GB SATA hard drive, a DVD super-multi drive, and card reader it comes with host of connectivity options too. Like DVI out, WiFi, 4 USB ports, Bluetooth, express card slot and S-video out, besides the regular webcam.
