Today's gaming console is nothing less than a supercomputer, capable of churning out gigaflops or power. But what will be the trends that gaming industry will follow in the coming year? Read on... The immediate next year will see the console gaming segment grow exponentially in India and a few of the hot trends that we expect 2009 to show us are Console Wars-with Nintendo officially entering India with its Wii console in the last quarter of this year, we expect prices of consoles in India to fall further. The Xbox 360 is already available at 15k, the Wii is available at 20k, PlayStation 2 at 6.5k and the PlayStation 3 comes in at 25k. With the competition rising, prices have to head southwards.
