It's but natural to think that setting the camera on Auto will result in perfect pictures. But that isn't the case. It's the image sensor in your camera that's designed to produce colors that 'match' those in the original scene. There's a lot that runs inside your camera to process raw images into final photographs. The results really depend upon the accuracy of the image exposure and the ability of the camera to handle color balancing. Of course, you can use an image editor on the computer to add effects to an image shot. But can you really get the missed out details when the picture was captured? No. This is where various preset modes in a camera come into play.
