摘要

With the advent of faster mobile networks and more powerful mobile devices, it is no surprise that mobile operators plan to offer richer services to their customers. A great number of these services will take the form of access to traditionally fixed Internet services through mobile devices. Others will include new services that leverage the uniqueness of mobility (e.g., location information). As the Internet world becomes mobile, web services will play a significant role in facilitating this transition. A fundamental concept in web services ― identity management ― will take a central role. New challenges arise as we face the need to strike a balance between respecting the desire for privacy and providing a compelling customer experience.
