摘要

The scatterers responsible for the echo signals of acoustic and radio-acoustic atmospheric sounding systems represent extended 3-D targets. Extended targets are characterized by fluctuating coordinates their effective scattering centers, which results in considerable errors of coordinate determination and estimation of motion parameters [1,2]. We will consider some models to describe wandering of the effective scattering center of a finite volume of natural atmospheric inhomogeneities that produce scattering of acoustic signals, and also of the center of the acoustic wave train whereby the radio wave is scattered.
