The cotton conference that Cotton Australia, the peak body of Australia's cotton growers, and the Australian Cotton Shippers Association (ACSA) organise every two years will mark its 18th conference from August 2 to 14, 2016 on the Gold Cost of Australia. Its 17th edition held last August attracted more than 1,800 delegates, the biggest attendance on record in the event's 34-year history. More than a third of the delegates were cotton growers. It concluded with a gala event to celebrate the Australian Cotton Industry Awards, which recognise excellence and achievement in the country's cotton industry from growers and ginners to product suppliers, consultants, agronomists and researchers.
