摘要

TiO_2 nanoparticles were prepared using the sol-gel method and TTIP as a precursor. The nanoparticle was highly crystalline, and the crystalline size of nano TiO_2 synthesised using (TTIP: Ethanol-Ethanol: Acetic Acid) and confirmed by XRD analysis, was 70 nm. The TiO_2 impregnated fabric showed better zone of inhibition against gram negative bacteria (P. Aeruginusa) as confirmed by antimicrobial test results. The results also showed that nano TiO_2 synthesised at 70℃ with 24 hrs stirring time was the optimum to use as an antimicrobial agent.
