The chemical company BASF has opened the second phase of its Innovation Campus Asia Pacific located in Pudong, China, in early November, thus substantially expanding its research and development (R&D) capabilities in the region, where it aims to base nearly a quarter of its global R&D activities. According to the chief technology officer and vice chairman of BASF's board of executive directors, Martin Brudermiiller, the expansion will boost the company's "power to innovate in Asia Pacific for Asia-Pacific and the world."
