The Institut fur Textiltechnik (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University in Germany has developed a thermally conductive fibre-reinforced composite (FRC) material that can be "helpful everywhere heat dissipation is needed," such as automotive and industrial sectors or even space industry. This innovation has won the 2013 innovation award in the multifunctional materials category given by Europe's largest composites industry organisation, JEC.
