Key players in the value chain of the textile industry and other manufacturing sectors as well as agriculture, chemistry, etc., will assemble in Hong Kong on October 4 this year for a two-day conference on sustainability in textile manufacturing. The conference will include "comprehensive meetings and forums that cover important aspects of sustainable textiles with topics including organic and other natural fibres," says Textile Exchange, a not-for-profit global organisation that began in the United States as Organic Exchange to promote organic cotton in partnership with farmers, manufacturers, brands, and retailers, and is the driving force behind the conference.
