The increasing consumer concern that the products they purchase -whether clothing, shoes or other items - are manufactured in eco-friendly ways has inspired the Swiss specialty chemicals group Clariant to develop a new service to measure the sustain-ability impact of products. This service called One Way is scheduled to begin next month. It will screen all dyes and chemicals against more than 15 of the industry's most stringent environmental and consumer safety standards including bluesign, OekoTex, GOTS, the 11 substances of the Joint Roadmap towards Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals, and 20 major Restricted Substances List (RSLs).
