Thai Plastic and Chemicals (TPC) reported unreviewed profit for the third quarter of 1.07 billion baht, 98.73% up on the same period of 2011. For the full three quarters (January-September) reviewed net profit was Baht 2.51 billion baht, better by 37.93% than the matching results of 2011. A part of the Siam Cement Group, TPC makes PVC in resin and compound pellet forms. Vinythai PLC (VNT) accumulated a reviewed third-quarter net profit of 597.58 million baht, lower by 27.47% than in 2011. For the first three quarters of this year net profit was 1.63 billion baht, down from 2011 by 9.10% . Majority owned by Solvay of Belgium and partly by Thailand's PTT Global Chemical, VNT manufactures suspension and emulsion PVC, plus caustic soda.
