Peak Sport Products, a leading sportswear manufacturer in China, has recorded almost 31 % expansion in its 2010 profits attributable to shareholders as revenue during the year increased by more than 37%, according to recently released annual results. The company is one of the pioneers in sports market in China, manufacturing sporting apparel, footwear and accessories. The Peak brand was launched 20 years ago and the company is now engaged primarily in designing, developing, manufacturing, distributing and marketing sport products (including footwear, apparel and accessories) under the Peak brand. The Group's turnover for the year ended December 31,2010, amounted to 4,249.4 million yuan (approx US$653 million), gross profit totalled 1,616.3 million yuan ($248.4 million) and the profit attributable to shareholders 822.3 million yuan ($126.3 million). The company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the board recommended a final dividend of 10 Hong Kong cents per ordinary share. Together with the interim dividend of seven Hong Kong cents per ordinary share, the total dividends for the full year is 17 Hong Kong cents (2.18 US cents) and the payout ratio is 37%.
