A wide variety of designer collections and fashion accessories for the coming spring and summer seasons were displayed by more than 1,300 exhibitors at the annual fashion extravaganza the Hong Kong Trade Development Council hosted early last month. More than 1,300 exhibitors were present with their collections and other product lines at the Hong Kong Fashion Week in July. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in cooperation with a host of sponsoring organizations, the exhibition was zoned to assist visitors in sourcing their merchandise, with areas designated for particular categories and price points, markets and countries of origin as in the past. Catwalk events drew attention to the new developments of commercial labels in addition to the creativity of young designers not yet established in the industry. For information about how and what to buy in the new season, four seminars were supplied giving visitors an opportunity to see the forecasted colours, fabrics, silhouettes, accessories as well as inspiration in the form of images which set the context for new items.
