The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) plans to hold what's called the first North-South Textile Summit on May 19-20, this year, at the Hotel Trident in the country's economic capital, Mumbai.rnAimed to promote linkages among developed and developing economies, the two-day event will bring together, says CITI, a mammoth gathering of senior industry players, delegates, speakers and experts from India and various Asian and other developing countries on the one side and their counterparts from developed economies like the United States, the European Union and Japan on the other. Senior officials from the government are also expected to address this summit, says CITI.
