Intelligent textiles already have fairly wide application in the area of medical and healthcare services-from clinical monitoring to drug-administering treatments. Still this is an emerging field in textile research. This study examines intelligent textiles' applicability in the medical and healthcare sector, focused on the importance, user requirements, potential applications and needs to technological solutions of intelligent textiles for medical and healthcare.
