The Asia-Pacific region continues to remain the best revenue growth area for the US-based global sportswear and equipment group, Nike. The company's financial results for fiscal 2009 third quarter ended on February 28,2009 shows that revenue from the region expanded by 8% to US$806.9 million compared with $749.3 million a year ago. In comparison, revenue from the United States, which is by far the largest market for the company, grew by only 3% to $1.6 billion from its year-ago level while revenue from other parts of North and South America declined by 4% to $254.4 million and revenue from the EMA region comprising Europe, the Middle East and Africa-the company's second largest market-fell 14% to $1.2 billion.
