The Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University marked its 50th anniversary early this month (Dec 07). Over this half-a-century, ITC has been the sole provider of tertiary education in fashion and textile in Hong Kong and the head of the institute, Tao Xiao-ming, addressing a gala dinner celebrating the event, thanked the territory's textile industry and government for the support they extended to make ITC what it is today.
