Exporters of textile products clamouring for various concessions from the government to counter the adverse impact of the appreciation of the rupee have found some relief in a series of export incentives the commerce and industry minister Kama] Nath announced in his recent foreign trade policy review. These incentives include-□ Extension of the duty entitlement passbook (DEPB) scheme until May 2009, thus allowing exporters to continue reclaiming the tax they paid for importing inputs for export manufacturing.
