Cotton Incorporated, which is funded by cotton growers in the United States for providing them with research and-marketing support to increase the demand for and profitability of cotton, opened an office in Hong Kong on May 19. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held in the new branch office at The Gateway Tower in the Tsim Sha Tsui district of this Special Administrative Region of China, the president and chief executive officer of Cotton Inc Mr J. Berrye Worsham said that for more than 30 years Cotton Inc has provided solutions to supply chain partners around the world in terms of solutions for cotton merchandising, cotton manufacturing, and the sale of cotton products. "We think we are valuable resources for cotton solutions around the world; we help you, and you have been great partners for us," he added. Cotton Inc, he pointed out, has been in this region for more than twenty years. The new Hong Kong office, Mr Worsham said, would function as a central location for doing business in China as well as throughout Asia. "This office will provide us with, I think, even a stronger list of contacts; we will be providing services to this region...even stronger than we had before." Cotton Inc's investment here, Mr Worsham said, was indicative of its strong commitment to this area.
