Gerber Technology has unveiled an automated, high-speed pattern digitizing system that eliminates the need to digitize patterns manually. This new scanning technology called AccuScan, digitizes multiple patterns simultaneously and outputs AccuMark pattern pieces. This new piece of equipment can be 20-50% faster than manual digitizing, depending on the complexity of the pieces being digitized. It will scan pattern board, oak-tag or paper plots at accuracies within 1.5 mm, thus providing a much higher level of accuracy than manual digitizing. The system automatically detects notches, grain lines, internal lines, drill holes and the part perimeter, ensuring that the patterns are digitized exactly as submitted by the pattern maker.
