Four major European trade organisations representing millions of European retailers, wholesalers and importers have urged the governments of the 25 EU member states to reject a European Commission proposal which is said to have protectionist undertones. The Commission proposes to introduce a mandatory "made in" label for certain imported goods like textiles, clothing, shoes, leather, furniture, etc.
