Despite a 24-hour national transport strike, Premiere Vision, Europe's most influential fashion fabric exhibition, held on March 8-12 at the Parc des Expositions in Villepinte, Paris was declared a success. 31,109 visitors were registered, almost as many as the 31,535 recorded for February 2004. The organisers claimed an increase in international visitors, many of whom were from Asia and the US, contributing 9% and 8% respectively of the total figures. From European countries other than France, Britain, Germany and Italy sent the most visitors.
