William Ghitis, President, Global Apparel, of Invista, is a world-traveller for his company, for 10 years conducting everywhere its investment planning and supervising its marketing management in apparel. During that time I have had the chance of interviewing him whenever he came to Hong Kong. But in the past two years his travel arrangements have changed. Instead of visiting Hong Kong he frequently visits China, especially Shanghai and Guangdong. The following interview was arranged by the Invista office in Hong Kong. To me his words are inspiring. I think we both enjoy such exchanges of views on marketing, investment and regional business expansion, especially with regard to the new post-quota era. Our last conversation was conducted by telephone, Ghitis being in Shanghai, but both of us were satisfied with the exchange. This interview with Bill Ghitis by long distance telephone call was conducted on April 14, 2005.
