摘要

The microstructure transformations of wool fibres are analysed from the stress-strain curves of wool fibres. These charges include the breaking of disulphide bonds, the slippages of peptides and the α→β transformation. The critical strain (CS) ― defined in this paper ― depends on both fibre tensile behaviour and treatment conditions, and implies the extent of the mi-crostructural transformation in wool stretching together with Raman spectra analysis. The specific stress-strain curves illustrate the important uses in deciding the technology for stretching processing, choosing the pre-treating and setting agents or modifying the solution, analysing the structural transformation and predicting the slenderisation effect of wool fibres.
