摘要

Every four years during the past 30-odd years I have devoted two weeks exclusively to the ITMA exhibitions, aided by a team of researchers and collaborators. The experience has given me a unique knowledge of this splendid organisation, CEMATEX, and its staff of ITMA organisers from various member countries, besides the special representatives from the US and the Asian countries. But several months before the ITMA inauguration date I have to get in touch with the heads of the national textile machine-building organisations, and invite them to favour Textile Asia with a special message to review changes in the previous four years in the various national organisations and in marketing conditions in the textile machine industry and in exports of the various countries in this specialised field.
