India is seeking duty-free access for its garments and textiles into the European Union, in line with what is on offer to competing countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Textiles Ministry is already in talks with Germany and the UK for zero duty access for garments and some other textile items, Textiles Minister KS Rao stated recently.
