When ITMA is held in Barcelona in 2011, it will mark the world's most established textile machinery exhibition's 60th year since its inception in 1951. To commemorate this special occasion, show owner CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has launched an anniversary logo to celebrate ITMA as a catalyst for innovation for the last six decades. The logo was unveiled at a special ITMA 2011 networking reception held in Shanghai during ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008 for some 300 guests. Speaking at the event, CEMATEX President Edward Roberts remarked, "It is interesting that IT-MA's history preceded that of CE-MATEX's. The first ITMA show was held in 1951 in France.
