The recent ITMA revealed trends, one of which has been observed for some time by experts - digitally controlled printing on textiles without printing formes - but who would have thought that this technology would be staged in such a way? There can be no question that a printing process, which is literally innovative, and therefore surprising in the way in which rotary screen printing appeared in 1963, has been presented here. It was clear however that printing without printing formes is about to ring in a new era of textile printing.
