Once considered to be the weakest link in the value chain is now core focus of the industry for investment and upgradation of technology. Demand for processed fabric is buoyant. Changing customer's taste, integration of fashion into processing, new colour trends for processing and dyeing are putting pressure on the processor. New fibres and new machinery has necessitated the processor to understand & use speciality chemicals Most international buyers are setting up their sourcing offices in India. The Indian processors are no longer just producing international brands, but the Indian brands are now being displayed prominently into the US and European departmental shops. It is the time the processor understands these changing trends and adopts to the new situation.
