Top-level changes in the structure of Rhone-Poulenc, one of the world's leading speciality chemicals manufacturers, have significant implications through many areas of the French-headquartered group's textile-related activities. The merger of Rhone-Poulenc's chemicals, fibres and polymer activities has created a new company, known as Rhodia, with sales of FF37 billion in 1997 and 26,000 employees in 135 countries.
