This study focuses on the theoreticalnand experimental creep behavior of plain wovennfabrics using the yarn creep property and the structural–nmechanical parameters of the fabric. For thisnpurpose, two viscoelastic models, i.e. the Kelvinnmodel in series with a spring and the Eyring model,nwere developed as a theoretical analysis to predictnthe fabric elongation while subjected to a constantnload. Then, the theoretical results from these modelsnwere compared with experimental results fornfabrics of different weft densities. It was obtainednthat the later model shows closer results to thenexperimental creep than earlier model. It was alsonfound that an increase in weft density leads to andecrease in fabric creep.
