There are signs of luxury brands softening their stance on 30% mandatory sourcing with a view to expand their single brand retail operations in India. Italian luxury fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna known for men's suits and women's wear brand Agnona, is open to explore sourcing related opportunities in the country "I have an open mind...We might do source some women accessories from India in future for the brand Agnona and may be some fabric," says Gildo Zegna, CEO, Ermenegildo Zegna told ET. He however, clarified that currently the company does not get any of its products made in India, but said many international brands were sourcing women accessories from here and there was an opportunity for Zegna Group which has a 51:49 joint venture with India's Reliance Retail.
