Export demand for cotton yarn - mainly from Hong Kong, South America and Egypt - and demand from mills kept cotton prices stable. The Sankar-6 variety traded at Rs 35,200-35,500 a candy of 356 kg and B-grade sold at Rs 34,200-34,500 a candy. While A-grade V-797 fetched Rs 23,500-24,000 a candy, B-grade was offered at Rs 22,500-23,500.
